Which CleanLight Is Right for Your Grow?
Which CleanLight is right for your grow?
A quick guide to choosing between the CleanLight Hobby, Pro, and Air
The short answer
The CleanLight Air is recommended for every indoor grow — it runs continuously in the background, reducing the airborne spore pressure that causes outbreaks in the first place. The Hobby and Pro are handheld devices for direct crop treatment: choose the Hobby for smaller home grows, the Pro for larger grow rooms.
Most serious growers run both: an Air unit for the room, and a Pro or Hobby for the plants.

CleanLight Hobby — for home growers and smaller setups
If you're growing at home in a tent or small space with a handful of plants, the Hobby is your starting point. At 11W it covers smaller canopies efficiently, and its compact parabolic reflector is designed to push UV light deep into foliage. Simple, effective, chemical-free crop protection at a home-grow price.
CleanLight Pro — for serious cultivators with larger grows
The Pro runs a 36W lamp — more than 3× the UV output of the Hobby — and covers significantly more canopy per sweep. If you're running a dedicated grow room, multiple tents, or perpetual cycles where daily treatment time matters, the Pro is the right tool. Many growers also mount it on a light rail for automated coverage.
CleanLight Air — for any indoor grow, any size
The Air doesn't treat plants directly. It runs continuously, pulling room air through a 3M filter and past a germicidal UV-C lamp, then returning clean, ionized air to the space. This keeps airborne spore pressure low across the entire room — reducing the disease load that lands on your plants and your harvested product. Rated for rooms up to 100m³ (3,500 cu ft). Recommended for every indoor grow regardless of scale.
Still not sure? A simple rule:
- Growing at home in a tent → Hobby
- Running a dedicated grow room → Pro
- Any indoor space → add the Air
